At Bright Kids School House Block 175D, we believe that even our Pre-Nursery children can take part in meaningful, hands-on experiences. Recently, our Nursery 1 children had the chance to try their hand at planting their very own beans. This simple yet powerful activity helped them learn about responsibility, patience and the wonders of nature.

Watering and Waiting
Every day, our Nursery 1 children took turns watering their plants with droppers. This daily routine taught them the importance of care and consistency. It was heartwarming to watch them approach the task with focus, showing just how much they enjoyed taking ownership of their little plants.

Watching Growth in Action
Over the next few days, the beans began to sprout. The children’s eyes lit up as they noticed the tiny shoots pushing their way out of the cotton. They held their cups proudly, excited to see how their plants were growing taller each day.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Through this activity, our children not only learned about the life cycle of plants, but also developed early science and numeracy skills — from counting beans to observing changes over time. More importantly, they experienced the joy of caring for something living, building a foundation of responsibility and respect for nature.
Small Hands, Big Lessons
The planting activity may have seemed simple, but it carried big lessons for our little ones. At Bright Kids 175D Preschool, we believe that hands-on learning experiences like these help children build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning that lasts.
