Start Small Dream Big 2021
This year, classes of all levels were involved in making their own toys and arts out of plastic bottles. During this process, children are more aware of the reusable surrounding objects. This also stimulates their creativity and motor skills by making toys and useful items with the guidance from the teachers.
Start Small Dream Big 2020
N2 teacher had facilitated the N2 children to join the Singa Design Competition. During the preparation period, Teacher had taught children on the morale values that are important for everyone to advocate for Singapore Kindness movement. Teacher had submitted the children’s design work. Each participating child receives a participation certificate.
Singapore Kindness Movement 2020: Singa Design Competition
N2 teacher had facilitated the N2 children to join the Singa Design Competition. Oasis Terrace Performance
The Centre has joined hands with Bright Kids 173D and 175D to participate in the North East Clean and Green Singapore (CGS) Carnival organised by NEA and the North East CDC to promote an Active and Gracious Community for the Environment at Oasis Terrace. This event raises awareness of waste issues in Singapore and rallies the community to be more mindful of our precious resources, advocating for the Year Towards Zero Waste in 2019. The N2 children had put up a Chinese dance performance for the community at Oasis Terrace on 9 November 2019 (Saturday), time 12:00pm to 12:30pm. Parents were involved to bring their children to report at the venue to get ready for the dance performance.
Touch Hong Bao Project (2018-2020)
The Centre has collaborated with TOUCH community annually since 2018 to participate in TOUCH Hong Bao project. Hong Bao will be distributed to families and staff before the Chinese New Year period, to encourage donations to the needy and contribute back to the society. TOUCH Community will collect the sealed donation box, and the organisation will update the Centre with a thank you letter to inform about the total funds collected. A certificate will be given to the Centre too.
SSDB 2022 (Green the Grin in Us)
In 2022, the N2 children alongside their teacher has taken part in the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project titled "Green the Grin in Us".
Through a variety of experiences, hands- on activities, crafts and so forth, the N2 children got to educate themselves on the process of gardening, making of compost and many more.
Moreover, through this project, the children are able to further educate themselves on the importance of recycling, upcycling and how we can make it a conscious habit in our day to day life!
